i3bar | blue dots

Hey, very nice setup. I have one question however. I noticed in your config that you name the workspaces as number:circlesymbol. I assume you do that to keep the key binding the same as the order of the dots on the bar, but how are you able to name that this way without having the numbers show up on the bar?
