thanks tips? just screw around and lets accidents happen.
Story behind this one is that I had made the conky then looked through my images for rings to plug and found this image that had been in my collection for some years. Made the rings fit, tweaked the transparencies (alphas) and kick it out there, on to the next thing
yeah I guess it's just a matter of trial and error knowing the basics is the best tool in making such great configs and let your imagination takes you.
ach the master of XFCE mr. lovely, why is manjaro so great as an openbox setup? i have a friend's computer (rather obsolete box) that i've been asked to choose a distro for, so i'm thinking, maybe this one? ta!
I have no idea. I have tried all sorts of distros, many with openbox, but this one tamed my crappy laptop and runs at low temps and the fan as quiet as a kitten. ob is ob, so I'm guessing it's the manjaro base that does it. It's basically arch made easy and the devs are putting together really good distros that are as ready as possible when installed. One great thing is the mhwd framework that makes installing/removing kernels and drivers a breeze, it's as easy as installing a program with apt. I have run it with cinnamon the other day and this thing is light
good work
